What We Stock
Why Buy Used VFDs?
Drive failures stop production, and replacement lead times on popular VFDs have stretched to months in recent years. A tested surplus drive in the same frame and rating ships immediately at 40-70% below list — often the difference between a weekend repair and weeks of downtime.
We stock current families like PowerFlex 525/753/755 and ABB ACS580 alongside discontinued lines (PowerFlex 70/700, ACS550, legacy Yaskawa) that OEMs no longer sell, sourced from panel teardowns and plant closures and bench-tested before shipping.
- Immediate availability versus months-long factory lead times
- Save 40-70% versus list pricing
- Discontinued drive families still in stock
- Bench-tested with 30-day inspection period
Popular Drive Families

PowerFlex 4, 40, 525, 70, 700, 753, and 755 drives in common voltage and HP ratings, including discontinued models for legacy panel matches.
ABB, Yaskawa & Danfoss
ABB ACS355/550/580/880, Yaskawa V1000/A1000/GA800, and Danfoss VLT drives for HVAC, pumping, and general industrial duty.
Soft Starters & Servo Drives
Allen-Bradley SMC, ABB PST soft starters, and servo drive modules for FANUC, Siemens, and Rockwell motion systems.
Frequently Asked Questions About Used VFDs
Common questions about buying used drives and soft starters
How do I size a replacement VFD?
Match the motor's full-load amps, voltage, and HP, plus the duty rating (normal vs heavy duty). The simplest path is sending us the catalog number from your failed drive's label — we'll supply the same model or confirm a compatible substitute, including newer-generation equivalents for discontinued drives.
Are used VFDs reliable? How are they tested?
DC bus capacitors and power sections are the wear items, so we power drives, verify output on all three phases, and check for fault history where the keypad allows. Drives that sat unpowered for years are reformed before testing. Each drive carries a 30-day inspection period unless marked as-is.
How much do used PowerFlex drives cost?
Small PowerFlex 525s (under 10 HP) typically run $300-$800 used versus $1,200+ new. PowerFlex 753/755 drives in the 25-100 HP range generally cost $1,500-$6,000 used, roughly half of list. Discontinued PowerFlex 70/700 units for legacy matches usually run $400-$2,500 by rating.
My drive is obsolete — what are my options?
Two paths: an identical used unit (drop-in, no reprogramming, no rewiring) or a current-generation replacement with parameter conversion. We stock discontinued PowerFlex, ACS500-series, and legacy Yaskawa drives for drop-in swaps, and can advise on migration kits when you'd rather modernize.
Do you buy surplus drives and drive panels?
Yes — we purchase spare drive inventories, enclosed drive panels, and MCC sections with drives from upgrades and closures. Catalog numbers and photos get you a quote within a business day, and we arrange freight for larger lots.
Have Surplus Drives to Sell?
We buy VFDs, soft starters, and complete drive panels — single spares to full MCC lineups from plant upgrades and closures.
