Robots Trading Inc. provides the following services:

  • Purchase of surplus industrial equipment from manufacturing facilities
  • Sale of used and refurbished industrial equipment
  • Equipment valuation services
  • Plant decommissioning services
  • Logistics coordination (rigging, transportation, customs clearance)

We specialize in industrial robots, robotic weld cells, industrial chillers, air compressors, and complete production lines.

3. Pricing and Payment

3.1 Currency and Pricing

All prices displayed on our website are in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified. Prices shown are for the equipment only and do not include:

  • Shipping and transportation costs
  • Rigging and removal fees
  • Applicable taxes (HST, GST, PST, or sales tax)
  • Customs duties and import fees for cross-border purchases
  • Insurance during transit

For items listed as "Contact for Pricing," final pricing will be provided upon request based on your specific requirements.

3.2 Payment Methods

We accept payment via:

  • Credit card (processed securely through Stripe)
  • Wire transfer
  • Certified check

For large purchases, we may require a deposit with the balance due prior to shipment. Payment terms will be specified in your purchase agreement.

3.3 Quotes and Estimates

Quotes provided through our website or by our sales team are estimates and are subject to change based on final inspection, market conditions, and availability. All quotes are valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated.

4. Orders and Contracts

4.1 Order Confirmation

Your order is not confirmed until you receive written confirmation from us (email or formal purchase agreement). We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion.

4.2 Agreement Copy

In accordance with the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, for all electronic transactions, you will receive a copy of your purchase agreement via email within 15 days of the transaction.

5. Equipment Condition and Warranty

5.1 Condition Descriptions

We provide accurate descriptions of equipment condition on our website:

  • New: Factory new, never installed
  • Refurbished: Professionally restored and tested
  • Excellent: Like new, fully functional, minimal wear
  • Good: Normal wear, fully functional, production ready
  • Fair: Operational but may need maintenance
  • As-Is: Sold without warranty, may require repair

5.2 Warranty

Unless otherwise specified in writing, all equipment is sold "AS-IS, WHERE-IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

For refurbished equipment, warranty terms (if any) will be specified in your purchase agreement.

5.3 Inspection

We encourage buyers to inspect equipment prior to purchase. We can arrange inspection appointments at our facility or provide additional photos and videos upon request.

6. Shipping and Delivery

6.1 Shipping Arrangements

Shipping costs are not included in the listed price. We can arrange shipping on your behalf or you may arrange your own freight. Shipping quotes will be provided separately based on your location and equipment requirements.

6.2 Risk of Loss

Risk of loss transfers to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier. We recommend purchasing shipping insurance for all transactions.

6.3 Cross-Border Purchases

For purchases involving shipment across the Canada-US border, the buyer is responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees unless otherwise agreed in writing. We can assist with customs documentation and coordinate with customs brokers.

6.4 Delivery Timeline

Delivery timelines are estimates only. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs processing, weather, or other factors beyond our control.

7. Returns and Cancellations

7.1 Return Policy

Due to the specialized nature of industrial equipment, all sales are final. Returns are considered on a case-by-case basis only if the equipment is materially different from the description provided.

7.2 Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of payment for a full refund, provided the equipment has not yet shipped. After 24 hours, cancellations may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 15% of the purchase price.

7.3 Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days using the original payment method. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

8. Selling Equipment to Us

8.1 Valuation Process

When you submit equipment for valuation, we will provide an estimated offer based on the information provided. Final offers are contingent upon physical inspection and verification of equipment condition.

8.2 Title and Ownership

By selling equipment to us, you represent and warrant that you have clear title and legal authority to sell the equipment, and that the equipment is free from liens, encumbrances, and third-party claims.

8.3 Payment for Purchases

Payment for equipment we purchase is typically made via wire transfer within 5-10 business days of equipment receipt and inspection, unless otherwise agreed.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability for any claim arising from a transaction shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the equipment
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, business interruption, or equipment downtime
  • We are not responsible for the compatibility of equipment with your specific application or facility

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Robots Trading Inc. or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved in the courts of the Province of Ontario, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
